This is a high quality hard candy dispenser, with a cast metal base, and matching cap, over the clear glass globe. It comes with an actual coin operating mechanism that stores coins in the base. The coin mechanism also has an alternate setting for non-coin dispensing, where one could simply turn the handle, and out will come your candy. It will also accept most coin sizes. This gum ball dispenser is also internally adjustable enabling it to dispense various sizes/amounts of hard candy.
