This electronic dog door unlocks whenever your dog is close to the dog door and automatically re-locks after the dog has entered or exited. This automatic dog door has 3 different modes to operate in, these are locked, unlocked or automatic access. You can use up to 5 SmartKeys with the PetSafe Smart Door and 1 SmartKey is included with the electronic dog door. 

Electronic Smart Dog Door allows you control your dogs coming and going without the hassle of getting up and having to open the door and then wait for your dog to come back to let him in. This electronic dog door unlocks whenever your dog is close to the dog door and automatically re-locks after the dog has entered or exited. This keeps all other animals from entering your home without your knowledge. 

This automatic dog door has 3 different modes to operate in, these are locked, unlocked or automatic access. You can use up to 5 SmartKeys with this Electronic Smart Door and 1 SmartKey is included with the electronic dog door. Dogs from 3 to 15 pounds can use the PPA11-111 small electronic dog door. Dogs up to 100 lbs can use the PPA11-222 large automatic dog door. The sizes for each The Electronic Dog Doors are shown below. You need to make sure your pet can fit the opening. Sometimes sizes based on weights with not work due to some dogs being of different shapes. This Electronic Dog Door uses 4 “D” size batteries, and the SmartKey uses 1 RFA-67 battery. The low battery indicator light on the automatic dog door will allow you to know when the batteries need to be changed in the automatic dog door.

The Smartdoors weather resistant door seal and the insulated flap on the Electronic Dog Door is very energy efficient. This electronic dog door will keep out the hot, or cold air from outdoors and keeps your air condition and heat inside. This makes a big difference on your power bill. The PetSafe Smart Door will fit into doors from 1 ½ inches to 2 inches thick. The range (when your dog can open the door) on the PetSafe Electronic Dog Door is adjustable up to three feet (3’). The SmartKey is very lightweight and can be attached to your dogs existing collar up to ¾ inch.
